Holiday Party Cooking Classes in Philadelphia

Corporate Holiday Parties and Team Dinners at La Cucina

Host your holiday party at

Picture
Give your team a holiday party they will actually talk about in January. At La Cucina at the Market, your group cooks together, laughs together, and sits down to a meal you made by hand. It beats another dinner in a hotel ballroom. Everyone takes part, so no one stands in a corner checking their phone.

We host holiday parties in our private cooking kitchen at 1206 Arch Street in Center City Philadelphia. We are steps from the Pennsylvania Convention Center, with discounted parking nearby. Your guests roll up their sleeves and cook, guided by our chefs the whole way.

A Holiday Party Where Everyone Joins In

Most holiday parties split a room into talkers and watchers. Ours does the opposite. Your team works side by side at cooking stations, mixing, rolling, and plating together. Managers and new hires end up laughing over the same pot of sauce.

There is something about cooking that puts people at ease. Titles fade when everyone is dusted with flour. The quiet person from accounting and the head of sales end up on the same team, racing to finish a tray of pasta. By the time you sit down to eat, the room feels different. That is the point.

“I just wanted to reach out and thank you and your team for an amazing cooking/team building experience! The food was delicious and everything turned out great! Thanks again! We will definitely be back!”

“Your team was phenomenal. We had such a great hands-on experience. The atmosphere was fun and inviting. Thank you for creating a space that sparks so much joy — I cannot wait to take my family and friends here in the future.”

How The Evening Runs

The night runs about three hours. We start with a welcome reception of cheese and charcuterie. It gives people time to arrive, grab a drink, and settle in.

Then the hands-on cooking begins. Our chefs walk your group through each dish, step by step. You are not watching a demo from your seat. You are at the counter, making the food yourself.

You finish with a full seated meal at one long table. Everyone eats what they made. We send you home with the recipes so you can cook them again for family and friends.

Festive Menus For The Season

Our holiday menus lean into warm, classic Italian dishes made from scratch. Think fresh pasta and other classic Italian favorites your group will love. We build the menu around your group and the season, so it feels like a celebration and not a standard catering tray.

We handle dietary needs too. Vegetarian options come standard. We can prepare gluten-free dishes on request, and we plan ahead for allergies. Just tell us when you book, and our chefs will plan around your group.

Corporate And Private Holiday Parties

We host both company parties and private family celebrations. Companies love that everything happens under one roof. There are no outside caterers to manage and no rental vendors to chase. We provide the space, the food, the staff, and the fun in one place.

That one-roof setup takes the stress off whoever plans the party. You do not coordinate a venue, a caterer, and an activity separately. You book one date with one team, and we handle the rest.

Our kitchen seats 10 to 50 guests for a meal. We can host up to 60 for a standing reception with hors d'oeuvres. A 50-inch monitor and sound system are ready if you want to share a slideshow or a few words from leadership.

Drinks are simple here. You can bring your own wine and beer, or we can arrange a bar for your party. Tell us which you prefer.

Team Building Without The Awkward Games

A cooking party does what forced icebreakers never manage. It gets people working together without anyone feeling put on the spot. Your team solves small problems side by side, like timing a dish or splitting up tasks. That is real teamwork, and it happens on its own.

Teams from companies like Amazon, KPMG, and FS Investments have cooked with us. Lawyers, department heads, and sales teams all end up in the same aprons, laughing at the same messes. By the time the meal is served, the room feels closer than it did an hour before.

Right In The Heart Of Center City

Our location makes holiday planning easy. We sit directly across from the Pennsylvania Convention Center. That is a short walk for downtown offices and hotels. Out-of-town guests can find us without a long trip across the city.

Discounted parking sits close by, and we are easy to reach by SEPTA. For a busy December night, that convenience matters more than people expect.

Book early for December

The holiday season fills up fast. December dates go first, and weekends go quickest of all. If you have a date in mind, reach out early so we can hold it for your group.

We are open for lunch or dinner seven days a week, and we can arrange a breakfast event for corporate groups. That gives you room to pick a time that fits your calendar, whether that is a Friday dinner or a weekday lunch.

A cooking party also makes a natural client or staff gift. If you want to treat someone to the experience, our gift certificates work across all of our classes and events.

What's Included

Every holiday party comes with the same care from start to finish. You get the private kitchen, all the ingredients, and the tools. You get the welcome reception, the seated meal, and the recipes to take home. We set the tables and handle the cleanup, so your only job is to show up and enjoy the night.

For companies, we can add a few extras to raise the energy. Ask us about custom aprons, chef hats, or a friendly cooking competition between teams. These small touches turn a good party into one people remember.

Holiday Party FAQ

How far in advance should we book a holiday party?
Book as early as you can, especially for December. Weekend dates fill first. Reach out with your preferred date and we will tell you what is open and hold it while you plan.
How many people can you host for a holiday party?
We seat 10 to 50 guests for a full meal. For a standing reception with hors d'oeuvres, we can host up to 60. Tell us your headcount and we will suggest the best setup.
Can we have a bar at our holiday party?
Yes. You can bring your own wine and beer, or we can arrange a bar for your group. Let us know your preference when you book so we can plan for it.
Do you host holiday parties on weekends?
Yes. We are open seven days a week for lunch or dinner, and weekend dates are our most popular in December. Because they book fast, an early call gives you the best shot at a Saturday.
Do you host groups visiting for a convention?
Yes. We are directly across from the Pennsylvania Convention Center, so we are an easy walk for teams in town for a conference. Let us know your group size and dates and we will help you plan.
Can you handle dietary restrictions?
Yes. Vegetarian options are standard, and we prepare gluten-free dishes on request. Share any allergies or dietary needs when you book so our chefs can plan the menu around your group.
